Mechanical Engineer

Roster: 8D/6R - FIFO ex Perth

Working in the Christmas Creek OPF Engineering department, the primary purpose of this role is to provide technical support and solutions to fixed plant maintenance and operations teams via fault finding, repair and shutdown support

Key responsibilities include:

• Being a safety leader and engage with personnel to drive a Zero Harm safety culture
• Engaging with Operations and Maintenance personnel as a key team member facilitating operational and maintenance processes
• Provide technical input and drive continuous improvement
• Identification and implementation of safety and production improvement projects
• Performing Root Cause Analysis and implementing learnings

Qualifications and Experience sought:

• Mechanical Engineering Degree
• 3-5 years experience preferably in Fixed Plant Ore processing
• Working knowledge of processing equipment
• Experience within operational teams on site is essential
• Experience in conducting root cause analysis
• Demonstrated competency in use of SAP
• Project management experience preferred
