About the role:  We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer at our Coppabella Moorvale Joint Venture (CMJV).  Our Coppabella Moorvale mine complex consists of two open-cut mine operations located approximately 140 kilometers southwest of Mackay that produce premium low-volatile PCI coal for export markets.

Reporting to the Maintenance Engineering & Planning Superintendent, the scope of your role will be to provide engineering and project management support to the maintenance team. 

Duties will include:

• Implementing and coordinate effective change management practices
• Facilitating risk assessments
• Monitoring and improving site processes and standards for compliance with relevant legislation, and Australian standards
• Support and coordinate maintenance facilities and infrastructure projects, including initial scoping and capital expenditure applications
• Coordinate overhauls of components, including reviewing and approving designs and requirements for certification and fabrication, within budget and timeframes

The lifestyle: This position is offered on a 9-day fortnight (Monday to Friday, Monday to Thursday) roster and can allow for a residential (Moranbah or Nebo), DIDO or FIFO lifestyle.  Employees living residentially may have access to a $15,000 housing allowance and may have the ability to salary sacrifice up to 50% of rental payments.

About you:

• Mechanical Engineering Degree
• Strong communication and demonstrated ability to maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
• Mining Maintenance Experience
