Reporting to the Team Lead Reliability for Mobile Equipment Maintenance, you will help drive continuous improvement, defect elimination, and ensure the maintenance plan for mobile assets are delivered successfully. You will be responsible to provide specialist advice, execute analysis and benchmarking of the Maintenance function's end-to-end performance and identify and implement improvement initiatives that enable functional excellence and support business priorities for continuous improvement. The role is site based at Mt Keith on a 5/3, 4/2 FIFO roster.

In this role you will:

  • Demonstrate strong safety values by supporting the Field Leadership program to lead continuous safety improvement and performance
  • Review and report on equipment performance results to support Maintenance team(s) focusing on the correct priorities.
  • Originates and develops analysis methods to determine maintenance demands for components, equipment and processes.
  • Identify and drive Continuous Improvement initiatives / Projects to improve MTBF and equipment availability.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to Mobile Maintenance teams.
  • Determines cost advantages of alternatives and develops action plans that comply with demands for timely repair of mobile mining equipment.
  • Considers impact of costs on recommended action plans for avoiding / correcting problems during the design phase or remedial action for correcting key downtime drivers.

About You

  • An overriding commitment to health, safety, environment and the community.
  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering (preferred), or equivalent trade & industry experience to support the role.
  • Ideally you will have experience in maintenance and/or reliability engineering in the Surface Mining industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a collaborative approach to finding practical solutions
  • Ability to influence, engage with & communicate effectively across multiple levels, business units and functional areas from frontline employees to senior management
  • Working knowledge and understanding of SAP & Microsoft Office systems is highly desirable
  • Excellent time management skills and be able to prioritize tasks.
  • Experience with Master Data and maintenance strategy reviews preferred
  • Exposure to and understanding of Registrable Plant preferred
