Title: Mechanical Engineer – Rail

Work location: Perth based (Redcliffe WA)

Roster: 5/2 Roster (Mon to Fri)

In support of Fortescue’s strong focus on green energy and our carbon neutrality targets, one of our key initiatives will be in our Green Fleet projects whereby we will develop and test a range of technologies to power our mining fleet

Key accountabilities :

• Providing rail mechanical engineering support to all mining fleet projects
• Develop technical specifications to meet project specific objectives.
• Interpret engineering drawings, documents, specifications, and scopes.
• Resolution of  rail technical and design issues

What we are looking for:

• Alignment with Fortescue values
• Mechanical engineer degree
• 5 + years experience post graduate experience as a mechanical engineer
• Experience with the design, manufacturing, and operation of rail equipment
• Experience with 3D cad and concept level packaging
• Experience with SAP work management or similar product
• Experience in preparing detailed scope of works
