About the Role

Reporting to the Reliability Superintendent for Mt Keith Concentrators, you will help drive continuous improvement, defect elimination, and ensure the maintenance plan for the Concentrators is delivered successfully.  You will be responsible to provide specialist advice, execute analysis and benchmarking of the Maintenance function's end-to-end performance and identify and implement improvement initiatives that enable functional excellence and support business priorities for continuous improvement. This is a 5/2, 4/3 FIFO roster, flexible work arrangements are also on offer. 

Key Responsibilities will include: 

  • Lead the delivery of benchmark equipment reliability, through effective Continuous Improvement processes.
  • Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting of equipment health and performance. Execute defect elimination rhythms and routines, ensuring triggered events are reviewed, investigated, actions implemented and monitored for effectiveness.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis investigations for major failures and implement corrective measures.
  • Govern, review & optimise maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability.
  • Perform detailed analysis of condition monitoring data and action accordingly.
  • Identification & implementation of projects to improve equipment safety and performance.
  • Provide technical expertise to the maintenance execution teams to support work quality and safe execution of maintenance work.
  • Work closely with other functions within the organization including Maintenance & Engineering Centre of Excellence (MECoE), supply, contracts, projects and production departments.
  • Engage in safety activities and discussions to promote achievement of personal and team safety goals.

About You

  • You will be degree qualified in Engineering (Mechanical or related discipline).
  • Ideally you will have experience in maintenance and/or reliability engineering in the Mining or Oil and Gas industry
  • Proven problem solving skills with Reliability Engineering concepts and with experience of using tools such as FMEA, RCA, or similar would be highly regarded.
  • Strong engagement skills and a customer focused mindset to constantly communicate effectively and build mutually beneficial relationships with our Customers. 
  • An overriding commitment to health, safety, environment and the community.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge and understanding of SAP & Microsoft Office systems is highly desirable
  • Self-motivated professional, able to collaborate with & influence others to achieve reliability goals & targets.
  • Excellent time management skills and be able to prioritise tasks.
