About the Role

Working in our Fixed Plant Maintenance Reliability Team, your role will provide technical support by applying Reliability centred maintenance principles in driving defect elimination, improvement initiatives and identifying opportunities to support safe and reliable fixed plant operations.

Establishing and maintaining relationships with the fixed plant maintenance, production and engineering teams will be critical to ensure success in this role.

This position is based at Newman and can be offered as a 5/2, 4/3FIFO or 5/2 Residential roster.  

In this role you will:

  • Demonstrate strong safety values by supporting the Field Leadership program to lead continuous safety improvement and performance
  • Review and report on plant and equipment availability to support Maintenance team(s) focussing on the correct priorities.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) including facilitation into down time events, ensuring corrective actions/recommendations are in place to prevent recurrence of identified failure mode(s).
  • Identify and drive initiatives/Projects to improve MTBF and equipment availability.
  • Perform detailed analysis of downtime data, review maintenance strategies and recommend changes to strategies to address emerging risks.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to Fixed plant Maintenance teams.
  • Review Equipment Critical spare holdings and provide input into Maintenance budget forecasting   

About You

  • A tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a collaborative approach to finding practical solutions
  • Experience in reliability maintenance programs will be beneficial
  • Ability to influence, engage with & communicate effectively across multiple levels, business units and functional areas from frontline employees to senior management
  • Ability to define and manage projects from conception to completion
  • Experience as a Reliability Engineer or Maintenance Engineer will be advantageous
