About the Role

We are currently seeking safety focused Mechanical Fitters to join our team on a Dynamic 182 roster flying from Perth

  • Inspection, servicing, adjustment, troubleshooting and repair of the processing plant
  • Ensuring clear communication across team members and to the Supervisor in regards to downtime and trouble areas
  • Following specific maintenance strategies and procedures
  • Overriding commitment to BHP Charter, health, safety, environment, and sustainable development
  • Ensuring that all documentation and data entry is accurately completed
  • Maintaining a high-level working knowledge of safety processes.

About You

We are looking for individuals that have experience and knowledge on: 

  •  Pulley, Gearboxes, Motors both modular change outs and component rebuilds.  
  • Major Shiploader, Reclaimer and Stacker component change outs including slew bearing, bucket wheels & luff cylinders 
  • Trade Certificate relevant to your skillset is required – Mechanical Fitter (Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade
  • Highly safety focused
  • Keen to learn with a willingness for self-improvement
  • Ability to work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure
  • Use of tools, machines, equipment, and engineering techniques to maintain and repair mechanical plant and equipment to operational standards
  • Identification of defect or worn mechanical components or equipment
