About the Role
We are currently seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join the NPI Water Central Team, Area C, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor.
NPI Water Central operate and maintain multiple Potable Water, Waste Water and Mine Aquifer Recharge assets across multiple regions of the Pilbara including the Mining Area C, Yandi, Redmont and Port Hedland.
Flying from Perth into Coondwanna airport and staying at Mulla Mulla camp on a 7:7 day shift roster with some on call duties. There will also be a requirement to complete travel to our other sites, Redmont, Port Hedland and Yandi for maintenance work, which would include a short stay at the associated camp.
Responsibilities include:
- Fault find break down situations in an operational plant environment.
- Ability to read and understand piping and instrumentation schematics.
- Maintenance on pump, valves, compressors.
- Repairs and install of steel, poly and PVC pipework.
- Maintenance on chlorine gas systems.
- Maintenance on liquid chemical dosing systems.
- Maintaining good hygiene practices for potable water systems.
- Completing daily work orders in SAP and raising notifications for work required.
- Reporting of hazards and incidents within SAP.
About You
The successful applicant will possess the following attributes:
- Mechanical Fitter or Plumbing Trade certificate
- Minimum C Class drivers licence
- Self-motivated, positive and a desire to learn about our Water Assets
- Action oriented to deliver quality work on time with a focus on executable plans.
- Ability to take accountability and work autonomously
- A commitment to safe work practices
- Ensure robust, constructive communications to all team members helping build good team moral
