About the role

We are looking for an experienced, safety conscious Electrical Maintainer to join our team at Utilities West Angelas Power Station. You will be part of a safe and technically disciplined team. Your demonstrated ability to deliver against a wide variety of Mechanical activities is essential to our team success.

The West Angelas Power Station offers a variety of systems to enhance your work experience, that include: GE LM6000 Aero Derivative Gas Turbines, Gas Turbine DCS and HMI control systems, Water Treatment system required for site operations, Site Instrument Air systems, Liquid & Gas Fuel Systems and Reciprocating Diesel Generating Sets.

What you’ll bring

To be successfully considered for this role, you will:

• Contribute to a safe workplace.
• Reporting of asset condition (PM01).
• Execution of minor / major repairs & maintenance on asset (PM02).
• Execution of breakdown repairs (PM03).
• Engage in continuous improvement.
• When required, operate the West Angelas Power Station
• Maintain / Operate the West Angelas Diesel Power Station
• Maintain / Operate the Yandi Diesel Power Station

It will also be beneficial if you have:

• Western Australian C class driver’s licence with no restrictions
• Experience in the O&M of a GE LM6000PF Dual Fuel
• Experience in the O&M of Brush Generators
• Experience in the O&M of Flender reduction Gearboxes
• Experience in the O&M of reverse Osmosis water treatment plant
• Air compressor & system maintenance
• Cummins KTTA50G operation & maintenance experience
• GE LM6000 gas turbine Level 1 & Level 2 mechanical maintenance
• GE Gas Turbine operation & maintenance training
• Type B supervised Gas Fitters Authorisation
• Basic knowledge and understanding PLCs and Citect systems.
• Western Australian HR or HC driver’s licence
• High Risk Work Licences in LF, WP, CV, DG, RG, C2, CB
• Confined space / working at heights

The West Angelas Power Station is one of four Rio Tinto Gas Turbine Power Stations in the Pilbara region, suppling power to the Mining, Port, and residential assets across the whole Pilbara region.
