About the role
We are looking for experienced Mechanical Maintainers to join the Paraburdoo Fixed Plant Maintenance team to maintain infrastructure through repairing and overhauling fixed plant equipment. These roles are a great opportunity for a highly motivated individuals with excellent fixed plant mechanical expertise.
Working on a residential or FIFO roster of 8:6 / 7:7 (shift rotational) and reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be required to:
- Complete preventative and corrective maintenance for all equipment in the fixed plant area
- Conduct routine inspections of fixed plant assets and determine repair action when required
- Maintain a high level of safety awareness and comply with all RTIO Company Policies and procedures
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement projects – increasing safety whilst reducing risk & cost
- Utilise SAP to ensure that maintenance tasks are recorded, assigned correctly, and completed to the relevant standard / specification
- Work cooperatively in small team, demonstrating flexibility to business requirements
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- A Mechanical Engineering trade certificate
- A Manual C-Class Australian Drivers Licence
- Basic understanding of SAP maintenance systems or similar highly regarded

Where you will be working
Located 80km south of Tom Price, Greater Paraburdoo is an open pit operation producing high grade ore as part of the integrated system of mines operated by Rio Tinto across the Pilbara. It is comprised of three mines: Paraburdoo, Channar and Eastern Range. The picturesque town of Paraburdoo offers residents a range of leisure facilities and local amenities including a jet-serviced airport. Facilities available for families include daycare, a primary school, and a TAFE. The nearest high school is in Tom Price. There are also skate parks, swimming pools, tennis courts, and netball, cricket and football fields. Paraburdoo has its own shopping facilities and medical centres. The operation has a predominantly residential workforce and as such has a strong sense of community where you will be a part of something bigger than just a mining business.
