About the role

We are looking for experienced, safety conscious Shutdown Mechanical Maintainers to join our team at Cape Lambert. The purpose of this role will be to provide a safe and efficient facility through the execution of mechanical fault finding, planned shutdown and opportune maintenance works. 

This is a great opportunity for a Shutdown Mechanical Maintainer who wants to be part of a friendly and high performing team, supported by your leader to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the team. 

Reporting to the Shutdown Maintenance Supervisor and working in a collaborative community, the role will require you to:

  • Complete preventative/corrective/operational maintenance for all equipment in the fixed plant area, including but not limited to, reclaimers, stackers, dumpers

  • Conduct routine inspections of fixed plant assets including automatic lubrication systems and determine repair action when required

  • Maintain a high level of safety awareness and comply with company policies and procedures

  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement projects by increasing safety whilst reducing risk and cost

  • Utilise SAP to ensure that maintenance tasks are recorded, assigned correctly and completed to the relevant standard / specification

  • Isolate equipment for maintenance and operational tasks

What you’ll bring

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team  

  • A Mechanical Engineering/Fitting/Boilermaking Trade Qualification

  • Laser Alignment, Pulley Changeout and Rigging experience will be highly regarded

  • Working at Heights, EWP, Forklift qualification will be highly regarded

  • A Manual C-class Australian driver’s licence (HR desirable)

Where you’ll be working 

Our port facilities consist of four shipping terminals located on the Pilbara coast at Dampier and Cape Lambert which form an essential part of our logistics process. Each terminal has facilities for train unloading, iron ore stockpiling, product blending and ship loading.
