Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor (Fixed Plant)
Work Location: Fortescue’s Christmas Creek mine is located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people
Roster: 7D7N7RNR or 7D7N14RNR - FIFO ex Perth
Two positions available for Mechanical Maintenance Supervisors to lead multidisciplinary crews (Fabricators and Mechanical Fitters).
Reporting to the Superintendent, this position is responsible of ensuring the safe and cost-effective execution of maintenance, inspections and repairs in line with the weekly plan, and breakdown support across Christmas Creek.
Key responsibilities include:
- Promoting a positive, safety-oriented team culture and driving Fortescue's Values
- Mechanical maintenance works are completed in a timely manner
- Managing maintenance documents
- Maintain continuous improvement initiatives within team
- Manage employee rosters, leave and training requirements to ensure coverage for the 24-hour operation
Qualifications and Experience:
- Demonstrated experience within a leadership role with a proven commitment to safety
- Trade qualified (mechanical fitter)
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
- Microsoft proficiency, SAP, BMS or similar data and reporting systems
- Experience with contract and contractor management
- Maintenance program coordination experienced
