About the Role

Mining Area C is eager to engage with an experienced Mechanical Fitter who has demonstrated experience in infrastructure maintenance. You will exercise your expertise in problem solving and diagnostics, and your ability to focus on continuous improvement initiatives and build strong team relationships will be key.

Reporting to the Infrastructure Maintenance Supervisor, your duties will include:

  •  Preventative maintenance, repairs, and fault finding on diesel driven equipment
  • Following specific maintenance programs and carrying out inspections as required
  • Completing inspections and repairs as per the maintenance strategies
  • Working from OEM schematic drawings, manuals
  • Initiate updates to work procedures to ensure they are accurate and relevant to equipment
  • Assisting in implementation of 5S, Safety improvement projects and standardized work
  • Provide input into root cause analysis and subsequent resolution of issues affecting equipment reliability
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and assist in the implementing of the new initiatives in a constructive way

About You

As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:  

  • Australian recognised Mechanical trade qualification
  • Diesel Generator maintenance and diagnostics
  • Air Compressor maintenance and diagnostics
  • Fuel Farm knowledge
  • Raw water pumps systems.
  • Minimum of C class Manual Driver’s License
  • Ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, be self-motivated and show passion toward the equipment within the department.
  • Capability in 1SAP or similar maintenance management systems (desirable)
