Mechanical Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join the team in our Port Hedland Workshop. Working a 5:2 (Monday to Friday) roster.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Coordinating employees for the completion of rebuilds.
• Providing support, leadership and mentoring to apprentices and trades personnel
• Monitoring and reporting on job costs and hours
• Developing work scopes and service reports for clients and internal departments
• Delivering to deadlines and ensuring maintenance activities are performed in accordance with company guidelines, processes and within budget; and
• Driving team performance for success by focusing and guiding others in accomplishment of goals and objectives.

Required skills/experience & attributes:

• Recognised Trade Qualification in Plant Mechanics or similar.
• Experience in rebuild of MEM Machinery
• Previous experience in an operational leadership role
• Commitment to safety and maintaining a culture focused on zero harm
• Effective planning and organising skills with the ability to deliver on simultaneous projects with competing priorities
• Good communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills with proven ability to foster strong customer, vendor and working relationships; and
• Knowledge and experience utilising computer programs including Microsoft Office Suite.
