Core Responsibilities 

• Manage zero hour rebuilds on surface and underground machines, ensuring completion on time and within budget.
• Plan day to day tasks for the work force.
• Conduct inspections and maintenance safely and efficiently, ensuring all relevant maintenance records and reports are accurately completed and up to date.
• Ensure implementation and verification of safety control measures to mitigate operational risks
• Conduct and lead daily pre-starts, toolbox meetings, and task-based risk assessments.

What we need from you 

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in heavy workshop and field maintenance, with supervisory experience.
• Trade qualified HD Mechanic
• Strong leader with a proven ability to recruit, motivate, and manage a team.
• Focused on safety, able to identify risks and take action to reduce hazards.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and mechanical skills.
• Experience with mobile mining equipment and component rebuilds.
• Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
• Skilled in coaching and mentoring workshop staff.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong planning and organisation skills to monitor performance and schedule work efficiently.
