Infrastructure Services – Fuel Tradesperson/Technician
Work Location: Christmas Creek
Fortescue’s Christmas Creek mine is located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people.
Roster: 7 Days on / 7 Days off
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor this permanent full-time position is within our Infrastructure Services department.
You will provide safe, effective and timely maintenance to our fuel infrastructure to optimise operational performance. There will also be opportunities to be involved in installation projects that will add to our operational capacity.
Experience in the Fuel Management Systems (FMS), calibration of Fuel Equipment and OEM Fuel Industry Training would be advantageous.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Raising notifications and work orders
- Breakdown and fault finding on equipment within the Infrastructure network
- Preventative maintenance to NPI and equipment
- Statutory testing and inspections in line with your qualifications
Qualifications and skills required:
- Mechanical Fitter or Electrical trade qualification and/or
- Fuel Qualifications from Fuel Industry and >5 Years’ experience in heavy industry and/or
- OEM qualification in fuel maintenance/management
- Previous experience as fuel technician/tradesperson >5 years
- Experience in calibration of fuel management systems (FMS)
- Experience in the maintenance and troubleshooting of Variable Speed Drives and pumps
- Competent understanding of electrical/hydraulic schematics
- Experience in computer-based maintenance systems - SAP (desirable)
- Unrestricted C class drivers’ licence
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
