About the role

Reporting to the Senior Process Engineer, you will provide support with metallurgical test work, sampling & analysis and ensure Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) compliance to D5, DMIRS and global tailings standards are maintained.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

    Foster a culture of zero harm and embrace “RTIO Our Behaviours”

  • Conduct daily inspections of WFSF facility, pipeline and associated infrastructure
  • Execute spigot and valve rotations as per deposition plans
  • Manage various pump and pipe systems (decant, underdrainage, seepage) to ensure system integrity and operability including managing the refuelling schedule
  • Liaise directly with the Responsible Dams Engineer to ensure WFSF is operating to design intent, including deposition planning and management, safety inspections and maintenance
  • Opportunities to develop waste fines skills through formalised training
  • Execute daily sampling and sample analysis as per metallurgical testwork regime
  • Conduct cyclone spigot wear inspections
  • Perform screening facility inventory management
  • Assist process engineers/metallurgists with downtime data validation and reporting

 About you

 To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • Understanding of unit operations of mineral processing equipment
  • Prior experience in a similar role or in a laboratory environment will be highly regarded
  • A manual C Class drivers licence
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Motivation and ability to be self-driven and work autonomously
