Mount Owen Glendell Operations (MGO) Mine located in the Upper Hunter Valley of New South Wales, 20 kilometres North of Singleton, contains the Mt Owen and Glendell open cut mines. The combination of these two operations enables all sites to use a single coal handling and preparation plant (CHPP) and infrastructure at Mt Owen Mine.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, and as an integral member of the Maintenance and Engineering team, you will safely and effectively maintain heavy earth moving plant equipment to a high standard and meet required targets. You will be working on modern mining equipment with a focus on achieving availability and reliability targets and will drive maintenance performance and safety standards across site.
The requirements for success in this role include:
  • Relevant Mechanical Trade qualification or equivalent (Plant Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, Mechanical Trade Upgrade Candidates)
  • Mobile Equipment Maintenance experience including Caterpillar, Liebherr and/or Hitachi
  • Open Cut Coal Mining experience
  • Operational Technology experience (desirable)
  • Demonstrated exposure to computerised maintenance management systems and knowledge of SAP (desirable)
  • Prioritise work safely and follow No Plan No work policies, and procedures
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Solid communication skills
