CSA Mine is looking for an experienced Mine Accountant to implement effective cost control solutions to maximise the business’s margin to join the Finance team. You will work in one of the world’s most iconic mining districts, which has the second highest grade copper mine in the country. 

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Preparation of monthly payment certificates for site contractors including recognition of accruals for end of month
  • Regular liaison with business units and Finance Team to ensure understanding of business performance and financial results
  • Analysis of material and consumables costs presenting data on a monthly basis to management to drive cost control
  • Analysis of costs for capital projects to obtain whether tracking on budget
  • Assisting in preparing monthly internal reporting, ensuring it is accurate and completed on time
  • Assisting with the budgeting and forecasting process on an annual basis
  • Assisting with the LOM valuation model on an annual basis
  • Assisting in the monthly and year-end close processes

About you:

  • Degree qualification in a relevant discipline
  • Certificate IV WHS
  • Auditor in WHS Management systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation and listening
  • High level of confidentiality
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence

Conditions

This is a residential position and is offered on 5/2 - 4/3 roster. Relocation costs and a housing subsidy will be provided to the successful candidate to assist in relocating to Cobar. CSA also provides Pool & Gym Reimbursements to our employees and their dependants.
