Macmahon is currently seeking an experienced Mine Controller to join the Macmahon Boston Shaker team. This position will be on a 2:2 roster, flying from Perth or Kalgoorlie. You will be part of a high energy team so possession of multiple skill sets and licenses/qualifications will be highly regarded as they will greatly enhance your versatility within the role.
Reporting to the Shift Boss, the Mine Controller will be responsible for accurately recording and reporting the operations of mining equipment. Daily duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Effectively manage the Micromine Pitram-Fleet management and mine control System to maximize mining productivity and fleet efficiency
  • Continuously monitor and adapt dispatching techniques to achieve the daily mine plan/target
  • Apply cost effective and efficient dispatch tactics to the load and haul operations
  • Accountable for continuously monitoring load & haul operational performance and the reporting of any daily plan variations to the production shift supervisors
  • Liaise with Shift Supervisors for the utilization of shift personnel and machinery to promote efficiency and productivity
  • Maintain a production focus utilizing short term interval control techniques to monitor variation to the mining plan
  • Accurately monitor & record day to day activities of mobile equipment including accurate cycle and time usage events to ensure data integrity

About you: 

  • Previous experience with Micromine Pitram-Fleet management System
  • Strong technical knowledge of mining and mining systems
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to analyse problems and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Extensive understanding of Underground mining systems
  • Ability to work independently as well as a part of the team; 
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Demonstrating commitment to Macmahon safety culture and values; and 
  • Current C Class Drivers License.
