Mine Controller
Work Location: Fortescue’s Iron Bridge project is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people.
Roster: 8 Days/6 Rest, 7 Nights/7 Rest (8:6, 7:7)
A new opportunity exists for highly motivated Mine Controller with our Iron Bridge Operational Readiness team. Reporting to the Supervisor Mine Control this role is accountable for the effective utilization of the mining fleet.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Assistance with the execution of the 24 hour mine & maintenance plans, and maximise equipment productivity and efficiency by the accurate and timely reporting of maintenance issues
- Evaluate continuously the data accuracy and integrity in the system
- Interact with the system to monitor and record operation of equipment statuses and monitor and action information provided by tyre management systems, weather applications and monitor the maintenance status applications
- Prioritising competing demands - phone, two way and in-office communication
- Understand the correct procedures in case of critical failures in the system and associated applications, and ensure the integrity of the mine model (road network, locations, equipment etc.)
- Minimise shift delays and normal maintenance delays (fueling, tyre re-torques, etc.)
Qualifications and skills required:
- Experience working as a Machine Operator in an open cut mining environment (Preferred)
- Advanced computer literacy skills and a passion for Innovation and Technology
- The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to multitask on several activities/priorities at the same time
- Proficiency of Fleet Management System is advantageous but not essential
- Unrestricted manual C-Class WA Drivers license
