About the Role
We are enthusiastically seeking a Talented Professional to join our team in the role of Weekly Scheduler. Reporting to the SI Production Execution, you will play an integral role by:
- Play a leading role in developing mine plans for 2 weeks time horizon, considering all required safety , technical , execution and business constraints.
- Provide and communicate risks and opportunities from the executable plans you have produced to mine leadership teams.
- Drive continuous improvement through plan on plan compliance tracking and communicate to broader stakeholders.
- Participate in field leadership activities to drive improvements.
About You
As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:
- A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering (or related discipline)
- Ability to develop planning strategies, identify opportunities, escalate potential risks and mitigating actions and communicate and influence cross-functionally to peers and leadership.
- A range of mine engineering experience including scheduling, designs and operational roles.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to facilitate complex problem solving across teams.
- Advanced computer literacy skills using mining software packages, Deswik, Vulcan and Blast Logic preferred
Location
Nickel West Mt Keith is located 460 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie in the Northern Goldfields. Nickel West Mt Keith is a surface mining operation with multiple open pits and a concentrator plant. The operation is surrounded by pastoral stations, with the nearest townships being Leinster and Wiluna. There’s plenty to keep you entertained in the Mt Keith Village. Take the heat off the day and head to the pool – or join in any number of social activities. Employees commute to and from Perth on a fly in / fly out roster.
