Barminco has successfully tendered for the exciting Bellevue Gold Project located approximately 40km north-east of Leinster in Western Australia’s Northern Goldfields region. Operated by Bellevue Gold Limited, Bellevue is one of Australia’s highest-grade underground gold mines, achieving commercial production in 2024 and positioned for significant long-term growth.
This major underground operation combines industry-leading mining practices with a strong sustainability focus, including a hybrid renewable energy power station designed to supply more than 80% of the site’s power requirements through renewable energy sources.
About the Role
As part of this project, Barminco is seeking experienced and motivated Mine Foreperson to join the team on a full-time basis (8/6 FIFO ROSTER ex Perth). These roles are integral to delivering safe, productive and efficient underground mining operations at the Bellevue Gold Mine while contributing to the continued success and expansion of the Bellevue Gold Mine.

What Will Your Day-to-Day Look Like?
- Plans and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in underground mining activities.
- Reviews data, such as schedules, plans, survey reports, and geological records, and consults with engineering, maintenance, and supervisory personnel to plan and direct my development.
- Adheres to mining laws and safety regulations, and issues directives to workers to ensure adherence to applicable rules and regulations.
- Reviews and consolidates records, such as, safety reports, and production records.
- Supervision of Underground Shift Supervisors and provide direction and assistance with planning of mining activities in accordance with the Mines Act & relevant Safety and Environmental regulations.
- Liaise with appropriate client contact ensuring expectations are realistic and projected targets are achieved safely and to specifications.
- Act as Relief /Alternate Site Manager during their absence, adhering to agreed schedules, programs and targets.
- Coordinates manpower, roster preparation, annual leave scheduling and assist with employment / deployment of workforce.
Our Ideal Candidate Background Includes
- Demonstrated previous Mine Foreperson experience working in underground mining - Production and Development background with operator experience
- Strong understanding of underground mining processes and safety standards
- Experience operating within production-focused underground environments
- Ability to work effectively within a team and follow mine plans and procedures
- Current and valid Australian driver’s licence
- Relevant tickets, licences and qualifications for the role including Underground Supervisor's Certificate
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive workplace
