Reporting to the Technical Services Department, an opportunity exists for an experienced Mine Planning Engineer to join the Oaky Creek North team. The Mine Planning Engineer is responsible for driving technical support to the operational departments throughout Oaky Creek North.

The role of Mine Planning Engineer is to Co-ordinate the mine scheduling and forecasting requirements throughout the Oaky Creek North.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Communication of the planning schedule to the mine departments;
  • Assist in the development of short term and medium term mine planning tasks;
  • Supplying support when required to other areas in Technical Services.
  • Supporting the operational departments with projects Management activities

About you:

As the successful candidate, you will have:

  • 2 to 4 years industry experience in a similar role preferably in underground mining
  • Mining Engineer or similar qualification
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • High levels of resourcefulness, initiative, personal organisation, and diplomacy
  • Advanced Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous underground mining experience
  • Mechanical trade background an advantage
  • Computer literate with experience using MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Prior use of SAP planning software would also be advantageous
