About Nickel West

About the Role

You will work closely with stakeholders to prioritise, plan and implement projects around the open pit mine. Predominantly focusing on dewatering and infrastructure projects. You will report through to the Mining Services Superintendent.

Provide project management support to facilitate the construction process and ensure stakeholder requirements are clearly defined in support of construction and project deliverables.

  • Develop engineering solutions for dewatering and infrastructure projects
  • Liaise with and manage stakeholder relationships
  • Implement projects from definition through to execution
  • Coordinate engineering and construction activities to ensure that projects are delivered in accordance with plans, designs and specifications
  • Lead and support a strong safety culture

Preferred roster 5-2/4-3, flexible rosters can be accommodated – FIFO from Perth to Mt Keith Northern Operations sites.

About You

You will possess a Bachelor’s degree in either Civil, Mining or Mechanical Engineering.  Other attributes include:

  • A willingness to learn and ability to adapt to the broad scope of work 
  • Dewatering and construction experience is advantageous
  • Have a sound understanding of typical construction/mining specifications and practices
  • Excellent stakeholder management experience
  • Drawing software knowledge either Microstation, AutoCAD or similar
  • C Class driver’s licence
