Mine Services Coordinator

Work Location: Solomon

• Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.

Roster: 8D/6R – ex Perth

As Mine Services Coordinator you are responsible for the contractor, project, safety, work and budget management for the Solomon mine services and roads portfolio. This role reports to the Mine Services Superintendent and has a strong focus on  operational and people safety.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and scheduling of various projects
• Coordination with contractors on the delivery of projects
• Ensuring contractor compliance to safety systems
• Manage operational budget and participate in budget forecast
• Supervise the team to improve the safety culture
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve on contractor performance
• Conduct field interactions and monitor progress and quality standards

Qualification and Experience:

• Previous/Current contractor supervision experience
• Budget preparation, cost control and reporting experience
• Contractor management experience is essential
• Project management experience
• Experience in a planning or scheduling role in an operational environment is preferred
