About the Role

We are seeking a talented Mine Services (Processing) Supervisor to join our inclusive and high performing Production team to work in a collaborative environment. As a supervisor, you will have strong leadership skills and the ability to positively influence our safety culture. Your ability to lead by example, be proactive and prioritise Field Leadership activities will be critical to your success.

Reporting to the Superintendent Mine Services, this position is responsible for managing a team of ancillary operators to establish and maintain a safe and productive environment. Work areas will include; loader fed ROM, Coarse Ore Stockpile and Train Load Out, where the team operates loaders, dozers and excavators.

The Mine Services portfolio of works is varied and dynamic, covering a wide range of tasks and environments. The work is crucial to the success of the operation and as a result, the team must always be performing at a high level.

As a Supervisor, you will have strong leadership skills and the ability to positively influence our team culture. Your ability to lead by example, be proactive and prioritise outcomes will be critical to your success.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing supervision and support for the Mine Services (Processing) crew
  • Upholding and driving the highest of safety standards, including through risk management and operational leadership
  • Ensuring compliance with the requirements of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act and Mines Safety Inspection Regulations
  • Executing day to day operators of a loader fed ROM, Coarse Ore Stockpile and Train Load Out, managing a fleet of loaders, dozers and excavators
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders, whilst instilling and actioning a highly focussed customer service mentality

Roster - 8 days on, 6 days off, 7 nights on, 7 days off FIFO from Perth to Newman

About You

The ideal candidate will have the ability to lead positive change and support continued development. As a leader you will have an absolute commitment to working safely, complying with all site safety standards, mine working procedures and ensure a safe and environmentally healthy workplace.  

To be successful for this role you will have:

  • Substantial supervisory experience, preferably gained within a large-scale mining operation;

  • Working knowledge of the Mines Safety & Inspection Act & Regulations;

  • A Team player who can influence and shape our culture to ensure a safe, productive, sustainable and disciplined environment

  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, ability to foster positive working relationships and be adaptable to various communication styles.

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach, lead and facilitate cooperation with production personnel.

  • A proven ability to plan, organise and coordinate a variety of tasks within a dynamic environment.

  • Experience operating ancillary equipment, including bulldozers and excavators, highly regarded

  • Fixed plant experience highly regarded

  • Minimum C Class Australian Driver’s Licence.
