We are looking for a keen and enthusiastic Mine Surveyor to join our Mine Technical Services team at our West Angelas mining operations in the Pilbara.
This permanent position will offer the successful candidate exceptional work life balance with a unique working arrangement of 8 days on/20 days off FIFO roster in a job share capacity.

Working in a dynamic and fast paced environment, you will provide input and contribution toward operational targets by means of timely and accurate surveying functions and ensuring the integrity of spatial data.
Reporting to the Senior Surveyor, you will be:
· Managing the delivery of accurate 3D spatial mine data and services within the mine lease including field stakeout, data acquisition, validation, analysis and plan generation
· Maintaining the mine plan, survey book and accident plans in accordance with the code of practice
· Operating and maintaining a wide range of surveying equipment including Riegl laser scanners, Trimble GPS, DJI UAVs – PH4 RTK and M300, Wingtra fixed wing and Trimble total stations
· Providing geotechnical Trimble4D monitoring and mapping assistance
· Ensuring correct calibration of machine guidance systems and current design files (CAES only) are maintained in a safe and serviceable manner
· Assisting in misfire and hazard verification and locating, record keeping and setting out
· Providing professional surveying services to varied personnel mining and non-mining related
About you
You will ideally have:
· A Diploma in Mine Surveying or a Bachelor’s Degree in Mine Surveying
· Demonstrated practical surveying experience within an open-pit mining environment
· Previous experience working with machine guidance systems
· A ‘C’ class driver’s licence
· A RPAS (Drone) licence and experience operating RPAS processing resulting data
· Working knowledge of Trimble surveying equipment
· Software skills in Vulcan, Trimble4D, Rimining, context capture, cyclone 3DR, ARCGIS, GLOBAL MAPPER
· Vulcan software processing skills for accurate pit model, design checks & and bench volumes
· Ability to engage and collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
