Work Location: Cloudbreak - Fortescue’s Cloudbreak mine is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples.

Roster: 8D/6R FIFO ex Perth

The Cloudbreak Operations Planning team are seeking a highly motivated and technical Mine Surveyor to join the Cloudbreak Survey Team. Reporting to the Senior Mine Surveyor, your focus will be to utilise innovative technology including RPAS, Bathymetric and Laser Scanning tools to measure and supply spatial data in a safe, accurate and timely manner.

Key responsibilities include:

• Complete weekly and monthly deliverables related to pit & waste as-built models, design checks, resource definition, machine calibrations and environmental surveys.
• End of month surveys and volumetric reconciliation processing.
• Geotechnical surveys including pit wall and infrastructure monitoring.
• Maintaining all survey equipment is serviceable and working within tolerance.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree, Advanced Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Surveying.
• Experience in large scale, open pit mining.
• Current WA C-Class drivers license.
• Desirable - Remote Pilot License (RePL) and Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate (AROC).
• Proficeincy in Trimble Total Stations & GPS, DJI RPAS, Laser Scanning, Maptek Vulcan & PointStudio, Agisoft, Terrain and Excel.
