Minara Resources has an opportunity for an experienced Mine Technician Drill & Blast) looking to take the next step in their career, to join our established and dedicated team.

The Role

The successful person will become a member of a hardworking and committed team is responsible for overseeing and implementing all tasks associated with blasting operations onsite.

You will be responsible for:

• Carrying out blasting operations as per design and schedule;
• Providing feedback on drill and blast designs and identifying ways in which these can be improved to maximise efficiency
• Assist the coordinator with blasting notifications, arrangements for blast guards and general coordination regarding respective drilling activity and responsibility;
• Ensuring all blast reporting is carried out in accordance to safety standards

About You

This role would suit a suitably qualified and practiced Shotfirer with experience in an open pit mining environment.

You will also have:

• A Western Australian Shotfiring Licence;
• A Western Australian Dangerous Goods Security Card
• A Western Australian C Class Drivers Licence;
• Proven experience in drilling and blasting operations;
• Safety focused mindset
