About the role
We are seeking a motivated Electrical maintainer who is looking to take the next steps in their leadership journey to join our Mine Water Management Team at Greater Nammuldi. A key part of the role will require you to provide acting / step up leadership in safely executing weekly scheduled and break down activities at a site level, ensuring team performance is in line with short term objectives. The role will also see you lead, mentor, coach and develop the team not only when in the leadership position but when in role as a maintainer, including providing and receiving regular performance training coaching and feedback.
In this role, you will perform essential maintenance tasks on electrical assets, identify defects, provide feedback on asset performance through our asset management system and support defect elimination processes. Additionally, you will contribute to work management analysis and asset tactics reviews, ensuring alignment with work order/job instructions. Post-maintenance equipment commissioning and clean-up activities will also be part of your responsibilities.Key Responsibilities• Adhere to all Rio Tinto standards, policies and procedures • Hold or be prepared to obtain Appointment as Statutory Supervisor under WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022 with the functions as per Schedule 26 • Actively foster and communicate a positive safety culture to promote safety awareness and compliance, encouraging prioritisation of safety in all activities and operations • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, evaluating and
implementing improvement opportunities utilising a range of Rio Tinto best practices • Collaborate closely with other functions and stakeholders in the performance of duties • Provide positive leadership to a team of maintainers accountable for delivering high quality scheduled work in a safe and productive manner • Participate in planning including execute and deliver on the day-to-day and fortnightly plan, and plan, organise and allocate resources according to work requirements• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the mine and lowering of costs by identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement and innovation• Implement production operation plan to maximise productivity while minimising cost and environmental impact• Prioritise and manage unscheduled events whilst maximising mine productivity • Complete required reporting including shift reports, timesheets, incident reports and monthly reports when in acting capacity• Build and maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders to align on operational plans and strategies
• Proficient in the use SAP to raise and approve notifications, maintain team capacities and ensure maintenance activity information is captured
What you’ll bring:
• A Current Western Australian ‘C’ Class Driver's Licence (Manual)• WA “A grade” Electrical Licence• In-House Licence Nominee experience (preferred)• Sound computer skills with Microsoft Office and SharePoint• Demonstrated capability in effective communication, feedback and collaboration• Technical experience within operations• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills• Ability to work under pressure and coordinate multiple work targets
