About the Role
Reporting to the Supervisor Mine Development this position is an exciting opportunity to join the Underground Mine Development team at Olympic Dam. This role will see you undertake Miner Diesel Loading activities to safely and efficiently achieve department targets.
- Operation of Caterpillar R2900 loader as per the development schedule
- Liaising closely with the supervisors, charge up operators and MCO’s to understand and prioritise clean-up and loading activities to be undertaken as per the development schedule.
- Execute production or logistics activities in accordance with the relevant HSE standards.
- Assist in developing and enhancing operating standards, procedures and work instructions.
- Complete all other tasks required within the department.
- Participate in any other projects or key tasks as directed by line manager or delegate.
About You
- Proven commitment to look after your own well-being and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm’s way.
- Effective communication skills in order to develop and promote effective working relationships across the shift and with other departments.
- Able to work effectively in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
- Minimum 2 years working in an underground hard rock environment including proficiency in operating a loader Caterpillar R2900.
- Charge up experience essential, only ticketed operators will be considered.
- Current blasters licence
- Be able to work with limited supervision, manage time effectively and be detail orientated.
