We are Australia’s largest pure-play coal producer generating over $10 billion in Foreign Direct Investment; owning, operating or participating in coal mines across NSW, Queensland and Western Australia. 

Managed by Yancoal, Premier Coal is the leading coal producer in Western Australia.  Operating an open cut coal mine near Collie in the South West of WA, the operation produces coal for the domestic market with contracts to 2030.

About the Role

Reporting to the Mine Planning Superintendent, you will be a part of a dynamic and motivated Technical Services team. This role is responsible for carrying out safe and optimal short-term to mid term planning/scheduling tasks. We are currently recruiting for a Mining Engineer role and interested in hearing from those with the following backgrounds:

  • Mining Engineers
  • Mine Geologist
  • Mine Surveyors

This role will have a direct impact to the success of Premier Coal mine and the successful candidate will gain exposure to all areas of mining. You ill bring your experience and enthusiasm into the role and provide specialist advice and solutions in a challenging and exciting workplace.

The organisational structure of Premier Coal will give you exposure to all levels of the business.

The role is based on a rotating 8/6 roster (10.5hr day).

  • Well developed verbal and written communication skills
