Round Oak Jaguar, now part of Aeris Resources is now seeking a highly motivated Production Engineer to assist the Senior Production Engineer with all mine production activities for the Jaguar mine. Reporting to the Senior Production Engineer you will be responsible assisting with drill and last, ventilation, projects and short term scheduling. The Jaguar Operation is a 1km deep underground mine producing Zinc, Copper and Silver utilising longhole open stoping with cemented rockfill mining methods.

The OperationJaguar Operations employs more than 250 people and is located 60km north of Leonora and 250km north of Kalgoorlie. Our workforce is predominantly a FIFO workforce from Perth to our camp facilities 10 minutes from site with fully equipped gym, recreational and social activities organised as well as Foxtel and Wi-Fi in camp for use.
Jaguar Operations is an established underground zinc, copper, and silver mine located 65 km north of Leonora in the Eastern Goldfields region of Western Australia. It is a high-quality asset in an established mining jurisdiction that produces two separate concentrate streams: a copper concentrate and a zinc concentrate. The operation includes a 600ktpa processing plant, as well as surface and underground infrastructure, and has been in production for more than 10 years.
The Bentley mine is the current focus of operations. Jaguar Operations has a current mine life of four years, although recent successful exploration campaigns are expected to lead to significant mine life extensions.

- Produce drill and blast plans, backfill plans and project work instructions to guide underground mining,
- Data entry for monitoring mine performance,
- Monitor underground ventilation and undertake ventilation surveys,
- Regular underground inspections to ensure plans and designs are relevant and practical given mining constraints,
- Assist the Senior Production Engineer in development of the weekly schedule,
- Assist the Senior Production Engineer and the Mining Superintendent to coordinate daily mining activities,
- Assist the Senior Production Engineer to produce stope notes to ensure safe and efficient production plans are created.
The ideal candidate will:
- Tertiary qualified in Mining Engineering accompanied by some experience in a similar role within an underground mining environment,
- Have exposure to various stages of an underground operation, including ventilation, backfill, production, scheduling and drill & blast,
- Be a user of mining industry software (Deswik), or a similar package,
- Have completed their underground practical time (desirable – not essential).
