Excavator Operator
Work Location: Fortescue’s Chichester hub is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples.
Roster: 4D3RNR - FIFO ex Perth. Fly in on Mondays and out on Thursdays, working across Christmas Creek and Cloudbreak (Chichester hub) each week.
Plant equipment:
- CAT6060 shovel, CAT 6040, Hitachi 3600, CAT 6030, Hitachi 2500, Liebherr 9400, 996 excavators
- D10 and D11 dozers
Key Responsibilities include:
- Demonstrate behaviour that aligns with Fortescue values
- Comply with Zero Harm principles on a daily basis
- Dig to plan using, terrain and in-cab dig plan printouts
- Maintain assets to operational capacity
- Constantly strive to increase process efficiency
Qualifications and Experience:
- Ability to follow dig plans and mining block out information
- Ability to use Minestar or similar fleet management system
- Knowledge of Mine Safety & Inspection and OHS Act Regs
- Communication and interpersonal skills - two-way operation
- Basic computer skills and time management skills
