As a Mining Operator, you will be directly involved in the day-to-day operations of our iron ore mine. You will be responsible for operating mobile equipment at maximum efficiency, contributing to the safe and efficient production of iron ore. You will work closely with your team and under the guidance of supervisory staff to meet production targets and uphold the highest standards of workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities

 

As a  Mobile Operator, you will safely and efficiently operate heavy mining equipment to support production and operational requirements.

 

  • Safely and efficiently operate heavy mobile equipment, including:
    • D10T / D11T Dozers
    • 854 Wheel Dozers
    • 16M / 24M Graders
    • 993 / 994 Wheel Loaders
  • Conduct pre-start checks and routine equipment inspections to ensure machinery is safe and operationally ready.
  • Identify and promptly report safety hazards, equipment faults, damage, or wear and tear to relevant maintenance and supervisory personnel.
  • Follow all applicable safety procedures, workplace instructions and operating requirements.
  • Actively participate in safety briefings, meetings and required training.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to safely achieve production targets and operational objectives.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, operational efficiency and team performance.

 

Qualifications and Experience


• Ability to skilfully operate some or all the equipment above
• Mobile equipment operation in the mining industry is essential
• Ability to read mine plans
• Knowledge of Mine Safety & Inspection and OHS Act Regs
• WA Class HR Driver's License
• Communication and interpersonal skills - two-way operation
