About GEMCO 

Located on the tropical Groote Eylandt in the Northern Territory, GEMCO is a South32 Company, the operation is accountable for over 20% of the world’s manganese ore production. Groote Eylandt is home to the Anindilyakwa people, who are the traditional owners of the land and have been working alongside GEMCO since 1963.

About the roles 

GEMCO have multiple permanent opportunities available for Mining Operators acrossvarious teams:

• Haul Truck Operators (Cat 777 or similar)
• Production Excavator Operators (Hitachi 2500 or similar)
• Dozer Operators (D10/D11, experience in dozer push techniques advantageous)

About you

You will have experience working in civil, construction, forestry, mining, or similar industries and have a commitment to a positive safety culture.

• Experience operating mobile plant/equipment
• Current C class driver licence (Manual)
• Motivated to learn and develop new skills
• Able to relocate yourself to Darwin or Cairns if successful
