About the Role
South Flank is BHP's newest iron ore mine, and the biggest in 50 years. It expands existing infrastructure at Mining Area C, adding 80 Mtpa of new crushing and screening capacity, an extensive overland conveyor system, expanded stockyards and new train loading facilities to form the largest iron ore hub in the Pilbara region. Its brand new mining fleet is the biggest and best in class, and is being progressively converted to autonomous operation, in line with South Flank's future-facing design.
South Flank is now offering an 8/6-7/7 roster, working 12-hour day/night shifts; allowing you a family friendly roster to suit your lifestyle. Permanent, full-time positions are offered FIFO from Perth; however, if you are residentially based interstate we are still interested in your application.
Mining Production Ancillary Operators with proven work history operating any of the following machines with additional experience with the Komatsu Frontrunner AHS in an open pit hard-rock mining environment will be highly regarded.
- Grader Operators - CAT 18M - 24M
- Track Dozer Operators - CAT D10/D11
- All Rounder - Grader | Dozer | Loader | Excavator
About You
Your expertise in problem solving & diagnostics, coupled with your ability to communicate and build strong team relationships will make you an ideal candidate. Your focus on continuous improvement along with your ability to coach and mentor will be highly regarded. Ideally you will meet the following requirements;
- Hold a valid C class manual drivers licence;
- Demonstrated experience in the operation of the equipment listed above;
- A commitment to safety, quality and attention to detail and procedure;
- The ability to work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure;
- A strong desire to learn and a high level of enthusiasm to develop a range of new skills;
- A teamwork mentality to achieve results.
