Managed by Yancoal, Premier Coal is the leading coal producer in Western Australia. Operating an open cut coal mine near Collie in the South West of WA, the operation produces coal for the domestic market with contracts to 2030.

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Mining Supervisor to join our production team to work in a collaborative environment. As a Supervisor, you will have strong leadership skills and the ability to positively influence our safety culture. Your ability to lead by example, be proactive and prioritise field leadership activities will be critical to your success.

In addition, you will play a key role through: • Providing leadership to the production team operating within large scale open pit mine • Strategizing daily dig unit performance and fleet management operations • Mentor and develop the daily interactions of your crew • Maximise compliance within the operational plan • This role is a statutory role and will require you to cover other crew supervisors (day and night), when they take leave. Your roster will be 4 days on 4 off 12 hours per day while not covering leave.

Skills and Experience

  • 2+ years experience in a similar role within open pit mining operations
  • Extensive practical knowledge and experience in open pit mining operations
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Proven and effective people management skills
  • Current drivers licence
  • Statutory Supervisor Qualified or willing to obtain
