We currently have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Underground Mining Supervisor to join our Jaguar Operation. Located 60km north of Leonora and 250km north of Kalgoorlie, the operation includes Bentley underground mine which is currently 1km deep producing Zinc, Copper and Silver utilising longhole open stoping with cemented rockfill mining methods.

The role is permanent, on an 8:6 DS / 7:7 NS continuous roster FIFO from Perth though DIDO options can be accommodated if required.

Duties and responsibilities:
  • Ensure underground mining operations (development and production) are conducted in a safe manner, in compliance with company and regulatory standards
  • Organisation, allocation and delegation of the shift’s work priorities to achieve targets
  • Facilitate the pre-shift meetings
  • Conduct all statutory checks each shift
  • End of shift reporting
  • Assist the Mining Superintendents with resource allocation to ensure continuity of mining operations
  • Ensure the health and safety of all persons working underground and taking appropriate action on any health and safety concerns
  • Reporting of accidents and incidents
  • Monitor the weekly and monthly operational targets  
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
  • Extensive experience in both underground operational roles and supervising / managing underground mining operations
  • A strong understanding of Occupational Health and Safety Requirements within a mining environment
  • WA Underground Shift Supervisors’ ticket
  • First Aid, Working at Heights and Dangerous Good Security Cards (desirable)
