The role of the Mining Systems Application Support Analyst is to keep our bespoke Autonomous Mining Systems technology up to date and running. You will be working with Product teams in Perth and Operations teams on site to ensure the application's uptime, reliability, and performance.
You will be the first point of contact for application support and work with your fellow teammates on an 8/6 site roster to provide back-to-back support to roll out, update, and maintain this cutting-edge mining technology product.

Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure system uptime and stability on-site, restore services, manage incident communications with affected users, and coordinate service restoration efforts where additional support is required
- Act as the primary on-site contact for software users, on-site technicians, and the product development team.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain the Fleet Management System application and services, and manage communications during planned outages
- Configure alerts, monitoring, and logging to ensure that the system runs smoothly.
- Proactively monitor and respond to system alerts. Troubleshoot and escalate alerts to the appropriate teams where required
- Perform routine Linux system administration to ensure ongoing compliance with internal security standards and overall system health
- Provide L1 and L2 technical support to proactively manage all technical inquiries and application support issues
- Document and improve processes and procedures relating to production application support, logging, monitoring, alerting, and change management
- Work collaboratively with Product Manager and Product Owners with respect to system upgrades, bug fixes and issue management
- Work closely with OT to monitor network traffic and provide feedback for service improvements/optimizations to the Specification Team
Qualifications and Experience:
- Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering or a related subject area OR equivalent level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training, or professional accreditation.
- Significant experience responding to production incidents, restoring services, and managing customer communications. Experience facilitating post-mortems is desirable
- Significant experience providing L1 & L2 IT customer support
- Experience supporting Fleet Management and other production critical systems is highly desirable
- Hands on experience working as a Linux system administrator maintaining production servers
- Experience with tools for automated configuration and deployment management (Ansible preferred)
- Experience with log and infrastructure monitoring
- Container (Docker) management and orchestration (OpenShift, Docker Swarm), and virtual machines
- Sound knowledge of Git-based version control systems and artefact repositories (Pulp preferred)
- Ability to translate complex IT issues to non-technical audiences, manage customer expectations, and foster positive communications and relationships between teams.
- Excellent organization and time management skills and the ability to prioritise and plan tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving sills and the ability to self-research solutions and workarounds.

- Understanding of cyber security concepts pertaining to application and network security
