We are looking for an experienced Mining Systems Engineer to provide technical support and specialist service for Mining Systems applications. As the preferred candidate of this role, you will act as the interface between site-based, Operations Centre based teams and the wider stakeholder groups to provide value to the business by optimising the use of Fleet Management Systems and data interpretation and visualisation for internal and external stakeholders.

Reporting to the Superintendent, IS&T Mining Systems and working in a collaborative and exciting environment within our IS&T function you will:

  • Be involved in vendor liaising, account & finance management, invoicing, and budgeting
  • Support project and business improvement programs to ensure business needs and end users requirements are met
  • Provide support for projects related to the MMC applications
  • Communicate and provide support documentation for system and process changes as a part of the management of change
  • Governance and support related to process and documentation of improvements/upgrade projects
  • Contribute to the department’s Mining systems knowledge base
  • Provide specialist service and SME suggestion in areas of production execution and improvement to IS&T and Iron Ore based internal teams and external vendors
  • Deliver document management and creation, standards development, knowledge management and business improvement

What you’ll bring

  • Commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.
  • In-pit Mining experience
  • Experience with Mining System Applications such as AHS, Asset Health, FMS and Machine Guidance
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • Financial budgeting experience with the ability to manage vendor licensing and account management, invoicing, budgeting, and reviewing changes

It would also be beneficial if you have:

  • Understanding of network technology, server RDP and VM architecture
  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Business improvement and/or project experience
