About the role
We are looking for an experienced Mining Systems Technician to join the Asset Health team at Marandoo Operations, maintaining, troubleshooting and improving the critical technology systems that support safe and productive mining operations across the site.
This is a great opportunity for a technically capable and safety-focused professional to support the availability and reliability of Marandoo’s Mining Systems assets. This permanent position operates on an 8 days on, 6 days off fly-in fly-out roster, working dayshift only.
What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Supervisor Asset Health Mobile Equipment Maintenance and working collaboratively with Operations, Engineering, Asset Health, Autonomous Haulage and external vendors, you will be:
Performing inspections, preventative maintenance and fault diagnosis on Mining Systems infrastructure and onboard hardware.
Maintaining Caterpillar MineStar systems, including Terrain, Command, Site Awareness and associated heavy mobile equipment interfaces.
Supporting LTE communications infrastructure, AVI data radios, onboard networking equipment and machine connectivity systems.
Troubleshooting software, hardware and network-related issues affecting fleet production and autonomous operations.
Conducting breakdown repairs and restoring systems safely and efficiently to minimise operational downtime.
Monitoring system health, supporting technology commissioning and upgrades, and managing maintenance work orders, notifications, task confirmations and asset history through SAP.

Required for success
A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.
A trade qualification in Auto Electrical, Radio Communications, Industrial Information Technology, Electronics, Instrumentation or a related discipline.
Demonstrated experience maintaining Mining Systems technologies within mining, heavy industry, rail or autonomous operations.
Strong working knowledge of Caterpillar MineStar applications, including Terrain, Command and Site Awareness.
Experience supporting onboard machine hardware, GNSS systems, LTE and wireless communications, networking principles, machine interfaces and fleet management technologies.
Sound fault-finding and diagnostic skills, an unrestricted Western Australian C Class Driver’s Licence, and proficiency using SAP, Microsoft Office and digital maintenance management systems.

The Marandoo mine is located at the foot of Mount Bruce, adjacent to Karijini National Park and 50 kilometres east of Tom Price. Marandoo is known for its picturesque hills and mountain ranges. Our operation currently employs a fly-in fly-out workforce.
