About the role

This is a great personal and career development opportunity for an engaging individual who has a passion for HME training, coaching, and assessing others in a safe and proactive manner. 

Reporting to the Training Supervisor, you will:

  • Train frontline workforce through; infield one-on-one, classroom, or group delivery

  • Uphold integrity in the assessment process

  • Support front line leaders in closing critical capability gaps identified through HME gap analysis data.

  • Support operators in their personal and career development plans.

  • Work in collaboration with OJTs for infield training in accordance with weekly training schedule

  • Support the Capability Development team’s efforts in promoting a growth mindset culture across our operation while contributing towards the SPS vision.

What you’ll bring

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Exhibit excellent communication skills to effectively influence, engage, and build rapport with key stakeholders.

  • Effective Time Management: Possess strong time management skills, the ability to balance multiple and competing priorities independently.

  • Training Qualifications: Completed OJT TAE Units or possess the On Job Trainer qualification, with a demonstrated capacity to support diverse learning styles in achieving desired outcomes.

  • Mining Experience: Production cycle HME operational experience including the relevant KOM AHS competency for various HME types including: Loader, Dozer, Excavator, Grader.

It would also be beneficial if you have:

  • Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment

  • Experience working with Komatsu FrontRunner Autonomous Haulage System (AHS)

Where you’ll be working

This role will be based at West Angelas. This role will be offered on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth.
