One of Australia’s largest mines and a complex minerals processing operation, Olympic Dam, is unique in that we produce Copper, Uranium, Gold and Silver. Please note this position is based at Olympic Dam, operating on a 7/7 roster pattern roster arrangement, with residential, FIFO (from Adelaide) or DIDO options available.
The role will involve being an active team member, providing support to the Mobile Fleet Maintenance work team in Trades Assistant, Tool Store and Materials Logistics support. You will adhere to operating requirements and strive for the safe achievement of individual, team and site objectives.
In this role you will:
• Comply to and consistently follow the standards and procedures designed to enable you to work safely and effectively every day. • Provide trade assistance skills to support planned, unplanned or breakdown maintenance • Develop close working relationships with Mine personnel to ensure that all plant downtime issues are escalated correctly and rectified immediately • Provide continual feedback to the Shift Maintenance Supervisors on job progress • Execute activities according to the weekly work schedule and unscheduled work as required • Update events and work requests with an accurate scope of work, to support effective planning of work • Build cross-functional relationships with the range of Operational areas to support maintenance including supply, inventory, and repairable teams. • Comply with the 1SAP Work Management processes related to work identification, execution and the capturing of related historical transactional data into 1SAP

About You
• Proven commitment to look after your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm’s way • Previous experience working in a similar Trades Assistant and workshop logistics role within the mining industry (preferred) • Riggers, doggers and crane tickets are advantageous • 1SAP basic user capabilities desired (or similar systems) • Proven ability to demonstrate appropriate HSEC behaviours • Ability to communicate across multiple levels and disciplines • Current, valid driver’s licence
