Mobile Maintenance Supervisor – Drills

Work Location: Solomon

  • Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.

Roster: 7D/7N/14R – FIFO ex Perth

Reporting to the Drills and Fabrication Maintenance Superintendent, this position offers a key leadership role within Fortescue's Solomon Mobile Maintenance team. The successful applicant will be responsible for leading, mentoring and guiding a team of trade-based personnel, consistently promoting excellence through demonstration and application of Fortescues core values.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the safe, effective, and timely mechanical maintenance on all equipment
  • Review and sign off on JHAs / SWIs as required
  • Manage and maintain crew numbers to align with budgets
  • Contribute to a highly skilled and capable workforce by supporting individual's personal and professional development through structured development plans and ongoing on the job coaching and mentoring
  • Liaise with the Planning team to ensure maintenance schedules are implemented
  • Work with key stakeholders to identify optimisation and efficiency opportunities within department assets

Education and Experience

  • Heavy Duty Mechanical Trade Certificate
  • Previous site-based heavy mobile maintenance experience, working with Epiroc PV271s, D65s, D65 XLFs desirable
  • Previous supervisory experience and leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and train teams
  • Commitment to safety and knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and computerized maintenance management systems such as SAP
  • HR driving license desirable
