Mobile Maintenance Supervisor – Haul Fleet Workshop
Work Location: Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.
Roster: 7D7N14R ex Perth or Busselton
Reporting to the Superintendent Mobile Maintenance, the Supervisor role will oversee Heavy equipment maintenance related activities on our fleet of Caterpillar 793f haul trucks & 777f Water carts. The Supervisor will ensure all Fortescue contractor and subcontractor maintenance personnel are compliant to Fortescue HSE procedures and ensure all mobile equipment is maintained as per OEM recommendations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure all maintenance activities meet the required Fortescue HSE standards and procedures
- Promote safety and compliance of all maintenance related activities on Haul Truck & Water Cart fleet, and the personnel associated with them.
- Assist and advise Superintendent and Perth Management on any gaps or non-compliance related to maintenance activities.
- Ensure Maintenance Management based systems meet OEM and Fortescue standards
- Ensure Maintenance Supervision and Trade personnel have adequate qualifications and experience, including on site VOC's
- Identify areas of improvement for machine availability
- Ensure all incidents and hazards are managed in BMS
Education and Experience:
- Proven experience successfully leading diverse teams in a mining environment
- Proven ability to coach, mentor and train a diverse workshop team
- Excellent communication skills
- Extensive large fleet mobile maintenance supervisory experience on a mine site
- Experience in Planning and scheduling (Preferable)
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office and SAP
- Knowledge of Mines Regulations and Act and Occupational, Health and Safety legislation and other relevant legislation and regulations
