CSA Mine is looking for an experienced Mobile Plant Leading Hand to join the team. As a Leading Hand, you will contribute to a safe and efficient team environment, while delivering vital, high quality maintenance solutions. This role would suit a tradesperson wanting to take the next step in their career, with demonstrated leadership qualities and a dedication to working safely with continuous improvement
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Planning and coordinating all weekly and daily mobile maintenance activities in a safe and efficient manner by prioritising resources, machinery and people
- Performing services, repairs, and maintenance on a range of mobile equipment.
- The ability to demonstrate competencies of testing and adjusting of machine operating and monitoring systems utilising relevant literature and testing equipment
- Ensuring an effective handover with cross-shift/supervisors which includes end of shift facilitation of the meeting
- Inspecting housekeeping and enforcing the regularity of housekeeping in all areas of underground mobile plant
- Providing coverage for the Mobile Plant Supervisor when required
About you:
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence (minimum P2 or equivalent)
- Mechanical Trade Certificate
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the mining industry
- Underground mechanical maintenance experience in mobile fleet
- Advanced understanding of equipment and stores
Conditions
This is a residential position and is offered on 7/7 roster. Relocation costs and a housing subsidy will be provided to the successful candidate to assist in relocating to Cobar. CSA also provides Pool & Gym Reimbursements to our employees and their dependants.

Located an eight-hour drive to Sydney, nine-hour drive to Melbourne, and a quick three-hour drive to Dubbo, Cobar is a fascinating town rich in mining heritage and natural attractions.
