We are seeking an experienced Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician with component rebuilding skills to join our team at the Paget Workshop in Mackay. In this exceptional role, you will alternate between NDT inspections and hands-on component rebuilding as needed, ensuring your days are varied and engaging. This position allows you to apply your expertise in both testing and repair, making it perfect for those who thrive on diversity in their work.

Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Full Australian working rights (no visa sponsorship available)
- Level 2 certification in Magnetic Particle Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, and Dye Penetrant Testing
- AINDT or BINDT certified with ISO 9712 reporting knowledge
- Proficiency with MS Office programs; SAP familiarity is advantageous
- Comprehensive knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing standards and best practices
- Good understanding of Australian & ISO Standards
- Current Australian driver's licence
- High Risk Work Licence - Forklift (or willingness to obtain)
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse machine components for surface and subsurface cracks according to industry standards
- Set up, verify, and calibrate NDT equipment before use, ensuring proper operation
- Select appropriate NDT techniques, define application limitations, and perform or supervise tests
- Interpret and evaluate results based on relevant codes, standards, and procedures
- Compile and report findings accurately, maintaining NDT job files and documentation
- Promote and reinforce a culture of safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement
- Ensure all team members adhere to Force's Occupational Health and Safety Management Plan
- Build and maintain relationships across the business to secure new work and expand the current portfolio
- Rebuild Caterpillar Powertrain Components when not performing NDT tasks
- Collaborate with Emeco/Force customers to meet company objectives
Alternative Consideration
We may consider NDT Technicians with Engineering Fabrication qualifications and knowledge in mobile plant equipment repairs.
