Native Title Manager

The Community and Government team is highly engaged within the business and externally, developing and implementing communication and stakeholder relationship strategies that deepen relationships and create the foundations for operational efficiency and growth.

Reporting to the Group Manager Cultural Heritage, you will lead a team of Native Title professionals to develop and implement effective relationships, strategies, systems and processes to proactively manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders whilst also providing strategic advice on any issues that may impact operations and business development.

The First Nations team is highly engaged within the business and externally, developing and implementing communication and stakeholder relationship strategies that deepen relationships and create the foundations for operational efficiency and growth.

In this role, you will support the business by:

  • Monitoring and strategic advice on any Native Title issues which may impact operations and business development;
  • Developing and implementing effective relationships, strategies, systems and processes to proactively execute and manage Native Title Agreements;
  • Support the day-to-day operation of key Land Access Agreements and ILUA’s;
  • Coordinate preparations for Agreement activities, including internal liaison with senior leaders and external liaison with stakeholders and preparation of materials including but not limited to presentations, speaking points, briefing notes and strategy documents;
  • Support the preparation of submissions and engagement activities to positively influence relationships and decision-making;
  • Assisting in the development of proactive and reactive briefs for as required

To be considered for this role, you must have;

  • Significant experience in heritage and native title
  • Significant experience and strength in writing and editing strategic communications
  • Experience in navigating agreements as a minimum standard
  • Business acumen and a strong understanding of the resources sector
  • Highly effective leadership, engagement and communication skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in public relations, communication, native title, law or a related discipline will be highly regarded
